Mumbys Home Nursing Services

A family provider that cares

We are specialists in providing 24-Hour professional home nursing services, hourly, daily or live-in, tailored to your needs and are regulated by CQC.

As a family-run business we always have family values at the heart of everything we do for our client and we treat them the way we would hope to be treated ourselves.

Letting someone into your home requires trust and until you get to know your nurse, we understand that you’ll rely on us to send someone that you can really depend upon.  All our nurses are NMC registered with 3 years’ postgraduate experience or equivalent.  All nurses will be DBS checked before being placed and undertake induction training prior to placement.  As well as being highly qualified  in the clinic area required they can provide clients with emotional support and  companionship.

Our two nurse managers have more than 50 years’ experience as well as social care in both public and private sectors.

Conditions covered (this list is not exhaustive):-

  • Cancer
  • Respiratory (COPD)
  • Diabetes
  • Neurological disorders
  • IV Therapy
  • Cardia Vascular Accidents
  • Cardiac conditions
  • Parental feeding
  • Colostomy/ileostomy care
  • Wound care
  • Palliative/Terminal care
  • Post-operative care
  • Oncology

This service would enable you to be discharged from hospital sooner than expected  as well as stopping an admission to hospital.

Process

Once contact has been made with Mumby’s Home Nursing Service one of our two Nursing Managers will discuss your needs with either you and/or your advocate before arranging a home and if appropriate hospital assessment visit.  From all the information gathered at this visit and with consent a Nursing Plan of needs requirement will be drawn up for use by the client and the nurse.

The Nursing Plan is then reviewed regularly with the client and/or advocate and the nurse/s  in placement to ensure complete satisfaction with our service.

Elizabeth

My name is Elizabeth Lewis, Registered Nurse and Registered Manager. I have been delivering training & mentoring student nurses & Care Workers, at various stages throughout my extensive career. I feel very passionately about ‘care’ & this has shown through in my eagerness to be responsive to Mumbys’ Homecare Support plus being involved in any way that I can to expand the role of the trainer and improve the care delivery.

I very much enjoy working with Mumbys’ Homecare Support as they really are committed to delivering Person Centred Support/Care that follow very closely the 6 C’s of Care, Communication, Competence, Courage, Commitment, & Compassion.
