Every month we highlight one of our wonderful Live-in Carers to feature in our Carer Spotlight – a section of the website dedicated to incredible people, doing incredible work.
Our first Carer Spotlight is dedicated to Maggie, who works at Mumby’s in the Fully Managed Live-in Care team.
Q. Why did you become a live-in carer?
Q1: I would say at birth, but obviously it can’t be true, but it’s close. I’m a big sister, one of four, so I became a carer soon after my sister Kate was born. I was three and a half years old. Since then, I’ve always looked after somebody. One day I made caring for people my job.
Q. What do you love about it?
Q2: To be a carer, it is not an easy job to do, but it means to me I can make somebody’s life nicer and easier, bringing some joy or at least some help, and I absolutely love it.
Q. Why do you like working for Mumby’s Live-in Care?
Q3: Mumby’s Live-in Care company cares not only about its clients, but also about its carers as well. The office staff are very helpful and supportive, ready to take action when needed.
