Our History
Mumby’s was established in 2002 to provide live-in care and support that allows people to live their lives in their own home rather than in a more restrictive and unfamiliar care home. As one of the leading outstanding rated live in care providers, we take pride and passion in everything we do.
Our founders, Ann and Trevor Mumby, are from healthcare backgrounds. They are passionate about providing an excellent service that helps people to continue to live safely and happily in the home they love.
Ann Mumby is a nurse and care-home professional, who saw that live-in care was an eminently better option than nursing homes.
Trevor Mumby, is a recognised psychoanalyst and an author of dementia support publications. He delivers a first-class 1:1 dementia training programme for carers on how to live with a client with dementia. This specialist dementia training our carers furnishes them with a deep understanding of dementia and empowers high-quality care.
